Nestled in the picturesque County Carlow countryside Carlow Cottages offers luxury self-catering accommodation for up to 6 people. This idyllic cottage boasts a Four Star rating by Bord Failte, Ireland’s premier tourism board and provides the perfect base to explore and experience the delights of the south east.

Located just ten minutes from Carlow town, Carlow Cottages can be your gateway to the sunny South East of Ireland, a region steeped in tourist attractions, rich in historical sights and bustling with vibrant towns and villages.

Carlow Cottages is located within the heart of Carlow’s major tourist attractions. Within minutes is the Browneshill Dolmen, recognised to have the largest capstone in Europe. The cottage is also located close to the impressive Duckettsgrove, a Georgian home whose towers and turrets remain while its impressive historical gardens have been fully restored. Other delights in
the hinterland of Carlow Cottages included Oak Park Forest Park, Altamont House and Gardens, fishing at the nearby rivers Barrow and Slaney and a host of championship golf courses.

The cottage itself has its own unique history built in the 19th century as a traditional Irish farmhouse. Down through the years the cottage has been home to many local farming families and became noted for the fresh dairy produce it produced for the nearby Carlow town market. The cottage was lovingly refurbished over the years, with careful attention to restore the authentic, traditional feel to the home. The restoration mindfully ensured that Carlow Cottage lost none of its captivating charm and elegance.
